Training on Library Administration and Information Management

A five-day-long training program on “Library Administration and Information Management” from 22nd – 26th of December, 2019 was held at Central Public Library, Shahbag, Dhaka arranged by the Department of Public Libraries under Ministry of Cultural Affairs.

Several resource persons from different Ministries, Universities, Public and Private library industries shared their knowledge and experiences on SDG, APA, NIS, Innovation, Citizen Charter, 7th Five years plan, Vision 2021 and 2041, E-filing, Library Administration, and Knowledge Management. Twenty-five officers of the Department of Public Libraries from different divisions and district levels participated in the mentioned training programme.

At the end of the training, a certificate distribution ceremony was held. Mr Md. Abdul Mannan Ilias, Director General (Additional Secretary), Department of Public Libraries was the Chief Guest in the award session while AGM Abdulahel Baki, Director(Joint Secretary), Library Development and IT, Department of Public Libraries was the Special Guest. Mr Abdullah Harun Pasha, Director, Department of Public Libraries presided over the programme.
