Boibondhu book exchange festival takes place at Rabindra Sarobar

Boibondhu’s book trade festival at Rabindra Sarobar, Dhanmondi.

The foundation Boibundhu arranged the Book Exchange Festival in the premises of Robindro Sorobor, Dhanmondi on February 26, 2021, which was joined by an unimaginable number of booklovers from morning to dusk. Initially, Boibundhu was a foundation of four friends. Once read a book, it becomes old for many people. Sometimes the book is kept on the book shelve. But if we exchange books with each other without leaving them on the shelves, the books come back to life and it increases human knowledge.

In this exchange program, almost twelve thousand book lovers joined this festival and exchanged their books. The organizers want to arrange this exchange festival in each divisional city as well as Dhaka City each year.

The event witnessed participation from people of all ages, from toddlers to adults. A small portable library was also established at the premises of Rabindra Sarobar during the inauguration ceremony. Boibondhu plans to set up similar libraries at 33 parks around Dhaka city.

Boibondhu, a voluntary organization dedicatedly working to spread the practice of reading among the netizens.
