EWU Library is going to organise a seminar on “Introduction to Citation Management Software: Mendeley” on 22 October 2018 (Monday) from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm in S. M. Nousher Ali Lecture Gallery (Room-126), East West University.  Dr Dilara Begum, Associate Professor and Chairperson, Department of Information Studies and Library Management and Librarian (In-charge) will present the topic and demonstrate the use of the mentioned software. Professor Dr Fakrul Alam, Pro-Vice Chancellor, East West University will be present as the Chief Guest in the seminar.

A meeting between the Libraries Unlimited (LU) Project team and the Library Association of Bangladesh leaders held

A meeting between the Executive Council Members of Library Association of Bangladesh (LAB) and the Library Unlimited Project team members was held on 16 October 2018 at LU Project office, Shahbag, Dhaka. Both organs have been expecting for a mutual cooperation and collaboration for professional and library development in Bangladesh for a long time.

The meeting was focussed on different industry issues including professional training and development, project and fund and National Library Day 2019 celebration.

Annie Cruze awarded the OpenCon 2018 Grant

Annie Cruze has been awarded the OpenCon 2018 partial grant and invited to attend the event as an early career academic professional.

Ms Annie Cruze, Library Assistant (Administration) American International School, Dhaka (AISD) is going to attend OpenCon 2018, at York University, Toronto, Ontario, Canada on 2 November 2018. The program will be hosted by Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition (SPARC) in partnership with York University, Ryerson University, and the University of Toronto.
