Asma Khatun (Muckta)
Asma Khatun is working as a Research Assistant at La Trobe University, Victoria, Australia. She has over eight years of experience in working with academic and research libraries in different positions. She is experienced in the area of Integrated Library Management System, Record Keeping Meta Data, converting and mapping data into MARC21, Discovery Tools, Content Management System, Information Literacy, Institutional Repository and Electronic Resource Management.
In addition, she was involved in several Library Automation Projects of Bangladesh as a Resource Person of BRAC University (one of the leading private university of Bangladesh) on MARC21, LCSH, MarcEdit and Z39.50 protocol. She trained more than two hundred library professionals on MARC 21.
Ms Khatun completed Bachelor, Masters and MPhil degree in Information Science and Library Management from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. In her professional career, she attended several national and international training programs and seminars on different types of library services and tools. Additionally, she completed an advanced certificate course on Modern Library Practices and Management with Indian Government Scholarship.
