Role of libraries in teaching – learning during the pandemic: An online workshop held

The iSAPT Virtual Academy (A research wing of iSAPT Virtual Academy) arranged an online workshop on “Role of Libraries in Teaching and Learning During the Pandemic” on 16 January 2021 at iSAPT Young Researchers Forum (iSAPTYRF) using the zoom Cloud Platform. The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic has caused an unprecedented crisis in all areas. As a result, the situation has led to the massive closure of face-to-face activities of educational institutions in every country.

The aim of the webinar was to discuss the emerging roles of libraries in enhancing the quality of teaching and learning during the pandemic.

Dr Kazi Mostak Gausul Hoq, Prof. and Chairman, Dept. of Information Science and Library Management, University of Dhaka was present as the keynote speaker while Dr Md. Anwarul Islam, Executive member, iSAPT Virtual Academy and Associate Prof. Dept. of Information Science and Library Management, University of Dhaka delivered the welcome speech. Prof. Dr M. A. Mannan, Vice-Chancellor, Bangladesh Open University (BOU) attended as the chief guest while Dr M. Nasiruddin Munshi, Prof. Dept. of Information Science and Library Management, University of Dhaka attended as the special guest. 

Dr S. M. Zabed Ahmed; Chairman, iSAPT Young Researcher Forum; and Prof. Dept. of Information Science and Library Management, University of Dhaka presided over the session. The whole event was coordinated by Dr Muhammad Jaber Hossain, Founder and Chairman, iSAPT Virtual Academy and Prof. Dept. of Information Science and Library Management, University of Dhaka. Dr Md. Shariful Islam, Executive member, iSAPT Young Researcher Forum and Prof. Dept. of Information Science and Library Management, University of Rajshahi moderated the program.
