Shopno Sarothi Public Library has been selected for Joy Bangla Youth Award

Shopno Sarothi Public Library, Naogaon has been selected for this year’s Joy Bangla Youth Award. This year 50 organizations and platforms under 10 categories have been selected for the award. The selection was made on 27th October 2018 of the two-day Joy Bangla Youth Award ceremony at Sheikh Hasina National Youth Development Institute, Savar. The name of the top 30 organizations will be announced later.

 

Young Bangla, the youth platform of non-profit organization Centre for Research and Information has been hosting the event for the third time from 2015. Prime minister’s ICT Adviser and CRI Chairperson Sajeeb Wazed Joy will hand over certificates to the top 10 among the 30 winners selected for the award at Sheikh Hasina National Youth Development Institute in Savar.

The application process began on August 21 and end on September 30. From 2,500 applications submitted by different youth-led organizations, the name of the top 50 organizations has been shortlisted on the criteria of contributions, social acceptability and scope of work.

The annual event aims to facilitate, showcase and recognize the Bangladeshi young change-makers and promising innovators.
