All 8 Newly-Appointed library professionals join at Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant

A group of fresh library professionals have recently been appointed as Executive Apprentice at Nuclear Power Plant Company Bangladesh Limited (NPCBL) on 24 March 2019. They are Mr Md. Anarul Islam, Ms Anjuman Ara Jesmin, Mr Ahmadul Islam Hawlader, Ms Farjana Chaity, Mr Md. Mizanur Rahman, Mr Soikot Biswas, Mr Abdur Rashid and Mr Madhob Kumar.

Out of 8 professionals, the first four named mentioned are from Dhaka University and last four named mentioned are from Rajshahi University. All of them have completed both bachelor and masters degree in Information Science and Library Management.

The positions “Executive Apprentice” will be responsible to manage and preserve all the documents related to NPCBL and different designs, work orders and papers received from the Russian Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation. They will manage the company resource repository using digital platforms.

Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant is an under-construction 2.4 GWe nuclear power plant in Bangladesh. The nuclear power plant is being constructed at Rooppur (Rupppur), adjoining Paksey, in the Ishwardi Upazila of Pabna District, on the bank of the river Padma, 87 miles (140 km) west of Dhaka, in the northwest of the country. It will be the country’s first nuclear power plant, and the first of two units is expected to go into operation in 2023 It is being built by the Russian Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation.
