“Exchanging Cultural and Educational Ideas by Arranging Events is Crucial”, Japanese Diplomats

Ahasan, Dhaka, 17 February 2019.

Three diplomats from Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh, Machiko Yamamura, Head of Culture, Mai Tomori, Head of Public Affairs, and Genji Matsubara, Head of Security Division visited Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Bangladesh on 12 February 2019.

The Diplomates emphasised on exchanging cultural and educational ideas by arranging events. They had a coordination meeting with IUT authority and explored IUT campus including the library. They observed facilities and possibilities of co-organising cultural and educational events at IUT.

Dr Mirza Mohd. Rezaul Islam, Librarian showed and described library systems and services along with the virtual conference room facilities at Library. The envoys, later on, meet with the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Dr Orar Jah and degree holder from Japan. However, IUT authority also discussed other issues including the followings:

  1. Japanese Government Scholarship
  2. Campus Recruitment for Human Resources in Japan
  3. Cultural Exchange Opportunities with IUT (57 member states)

The meeting was very fruitful and the diplomats expressed their satisfaction about the overall campus facilities and securities of IUT.
