A country based book reading activity by Bishwo Shahitto Kendro and Bkash

Bishwo Shahitto Kendro founder and chief executive Professor Abdullah Abu Sayeed distributes books among the students of Motijheel Government Girls’ High School on Tuesday. — Press release

Bishwo Shahitto Kendro and Bkash jointly organized a book distribution ceremony on 28 January 2020 to promote and encourage students the love of reading in the Motijeel Government Girl’s High School, with the theme of Alokito Manush Bikoshito Bangladesh.

Bishwo Shahitto Kendro is a non-profit organization in Bangladesh to promote reading activities, illumination and dynamic thoughts among the young students, run by Professor Abdullah-Abu-Sayeed. On the other hand, BKash is a versatile mobile financial service in Bangladesh under the authority of Bangladesh Bank as a backup of Brac Bank Ltd. To support reading programs in Bangladesh, Bkash provided 40,000 more books to the Nationwide Enrichment programme of Bishwo Shahitto Kendro, marking its successful contribution to book reading for successive 5 years. Like other years, the CEO of Bkash, Mr Kamal Kadir had handover 5000 books to the CEO of Bishwo Shahitto Kendro, Abdullah-Abu-Sayeed in this year also.

The reading program was started distributing books from the Motijeel Government Girl’s High School students in their Auditorium from 28th January 2020.
