A governing board team visits IUT library

Governing Board team of Islamic University of Technology (IUT) visited IUT and its library on 22 January 2020. H. E. Mr Mussibov Askar, Assistant Secretary-General, OIC, H.E. Mr Habib Migadde, Chairman of the Governing Board, IUT, H.E. Ambassador Iya Tidjiani, Ambassador of the Republic of Cameroon in Riyadh, H.E. Barrister Yakubu Ahmed Danfuloti, Barrister, Nigeria, Dr Omar Jah, Vice-Chancellor of IUT. Prof. Dr Md. Anayet Ullah Patwari, Head BTM and library in charge were present in this visit.

Online ISBN Service started

Mr K. M Khaled honourable State Minister, Ministry of Cultural Affairs inaugurated Online ISBN Service on 24 December 2019 at National Archives convention Centre, Agargaon, Dhaka. Director-General of Department of Archives and Libraries Mr Farid Ahmed Bhuiyan conducted the session, Mr. Farid Ahmed, President Bangladesh Knowledge and Creative Publishers was the special guest in the inauguration session.

A daylong training workshop on IEEE Xplore Digital Library organized by University Grants Commission (UGC) Digital Library (UDL) was held on Tuesday,03 December 2019 at UGC auditorium.

UGC Chairman Professor Dr Kazi Shahidullah was present as the chief guest while UGC members Professor Dr Dil Afroza Begum, Professor Dr Md Sazzad Hossain and Professor Dr Muhammed Alamgir were present as the special guests. UGC member Professor Dr Md Akhtar Hossain presided over the opening session.

Implementing the Annual Performance Contract: Archives and Library achieve the first position

The Department of Archives and Library has achieved the first position in the Ministry of Cultural Affairs in implementing the Annual Performance Contract for the financial year 2018-19. For the mentioned financial year, they secured the first position among the 17 divisions and organs under the Ministry of Cultural Affairs. Dr Md. Abu Hena Mostafa Kamal NDC, Secretary of Ministry of Cultural Affairs chaired the session in the Meeting Room of said Ministry on 8 December 2019.
