RMIT University is proud to host the Great Book Swap, a charity event raising vital funds for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF). This initiative aims to promote cultural awareness, respect, and literacy among Indigenous children in remote Australian communities.

RMIT University community came together to swap gently used books, share stories, and celebrate the joy of reading. All proceeds from the event will go directly to the ILF, supporting their mission to provide culturally appropriate books and learning resources to children in need.
The Indigenous Literacy Foundation has set an ambitious goal to raise $150,000 this year, which will provide 15,000 brand-new books to children in remote communities.
By participating in the Great Book Swap, RMIT University is contributing to this ambitious goal. The RMIT University community has demonstrated its dedication to Indigenous literacy, raising an impressive $12,100 through its Book Swap Sale, held across four Melbourne campuses. This initiative has made a significant contribution to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation as of September, 2024.
