Grand opening / Inauguration of campaign of on-campus Hult competition held in Noakhali Science and Technology University

International Hult prize inauguration program was held at Noakhali Science and Technology University, Bangladesh on Monday, 12 November 2018. Vice-chancellor Prof. Dr M Wahiduzzaman inaugurated the program through flying balloons and cutting a cake. The event is co-sponsored by the Institute of Information Sciences, Noakhali Science and Technology University.

“A country only could flourish through the creative and innovative ideas”, Vice-chancellor said in his speech. He also uttered the importance of creative competition like Hult prize and wish for the success of Hult prize at Noakhali Science and Technology University. Shamima Yesmin Convenor of the Hult Prize NSTU and Assistant professor, Institute of Information Sciences, Professor Mohammed Faruque Uddin, Treasurer NSTU, Deans, Umme Habiba, Director (acting), Institute of Information Sciences, Campus director, Hult prize NSTU, faculty members, students, representative from electronic and print media of the university were also present in the program.

It’s worthwhile to mention that, Noakhali Science and Technology University with the collaboration of Institute of Information Sciences is going to host the international competition, popularly known as student’s Nobel Prize worldwide for the first time on December 5, 2018. Touhidur Rahman Adil, a BSS student of Institute of Information Sciences has been selected as campus director for Noakhali Science and Technology University in such prestigious competition.

Final competition will be held in United Nations, New York in September 2019, and around 100000 students from 40 countries will get the opportunity to attend the final round to be organized by United Nation Global Clinton Initiative and Hult International Business School with the vision of “Youth Employment: Create 10,000 meaningful jobs for young people within 2025”. As part of the segment, Noakhali Science and Technology University has got the opportunity to organize ‘Hult Prize on Campus’ for allowing the students to compete as one of fifteen winning teams for final competition.
