Keeping up a conversation in a second language can be tough for non-English speaking people. Not knowing what to say next can lead to awkward silences, which isn’t fun for the person you are speaking to. From this feeling, Mr. Masud Rana, librarian, district public library, Chapai Nawabganj initiated the program “English Chat”. A prescheduled English chat was arranged on March  27, 2019. There were 17 participants attended the program.

Out of them, 10 participants spoke and shared their favourite topics from English grammar & literature. In addition to this, the participants shared their belief and understandings in this English Chat. Among participants, there were some senior citizens along with a senior journalist and an advocate. The session lasted for two and a half hours. The participants discussed on vocabulary learning techniques, Rhyme Scheme, the transformation of sentences, an easy way of learning tenses.
