Library Orientation Program for Spring-2019 Held at NSU Library

The North South University Central Library recently organized a series of orientation programs for the new students on library facilities and services. Around 1300 students (about 74% of total students) of spring 2019 semester attended the program on January 21, 22 and 24, 2019 in different schedules of the respected days. Earlier Dr Md. Zahid Hossain Shoeb, University Librarian, addressed to the fresher’s in the central orientation program on January 19, 2019.

The aim of the orientation program was to let fresher’s know about library facilities and services including how to be a member of the library, what is the searching process of library resources, what is current awareness service, how to get remote access facilities, how library provides research assistance and so on. The sessions were conducted by the library staff of NSU following a visit to the library’s different sections.

Dr Md. Zahid Hossain Shoeb, University Librarian, inaugurated the program. Mr M M Shoeb, Senior Assistant Librarian and Mr Md. Abdul Hakim, Assistant Librarian, briefed about the general library rules, the wealth of resources at the event. Other officers of Library Mr Rajiv Mahmud, Mr Ziaur Rahman, Mr Ashikuzzaman, Mr Ede Amin, Ms Sumaiya Kainat Bintey Kohinoor, Ms Antora Anower, Ms Dilruba Rahman conducted the orientation program by presenting a particular lecture.
