Mohammad Tanveer Ahsan

Mr. Mohammad Tanveer Ahsan is working as Assistant Library Officer at North South University Library. Mr. Ahsan completed his BA(Hons) and MA in Information Science and Library Management from University of Dhaka. Earlier, he worked at Center for Policy Dialogue as Documentation Officer and Bangladesh Environment Management Project as Library & Information  System Associate. 

Nonigopal Roy

Nonigopal Roy is an Assistant Librarian at Central Library, University of Rajshahi. Prior joining to University of Rajshahi, he worked as Assistant Librarian at Ayesha Abed Library, BRAC University and Deputy Librarian (Head of the Library) at Green University of Bangladesh.

As a professional expert in MARC21 and he has conducted several training on Machine Readable Cataloging (MARC 21).

Mr Roy obtained PGD in Information Technology (IT), CSE, BSS (Hons.) and MSS in Information Science & Library Management at University of Rajshahi.

Mr Roy has participated different national and international professional programmes like training/seminar/symposium on information and library management. Some of them are: Training on MARC 21, Training on KOHA (an open-source Integrated Library System), and Seminar on the issues in digital preservation: South Asian context, Management of e-Resources, Open Source Discovery Tool VuFind and Library Technology Conclave.

His areas of expertise are Professional understanding and knowledge of cataloging procedures and principles, including AACR2, DDC, LCSH, MARC 21, Knowledge of cataloguing tools such as MARCEdit and MARC Reports, Information and Library management and E-Resource (Online Journals) Management.

He is a life member of Bangladesh Association Librarians, Information Scientists and Documentalists (BALID), and Library Association of Bangladesh (LAB).

Prodip Kumer Aich

Mr Prodip Kumer Aich is passionate as a YouTube video editor and freelancer. He obtained his masters in Information Science and Library Management at University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

He began his career as a customer care representative at Citycell telecommunication. He worked with various reputed organization like Refugee and Migratory Movements Research Unit (RMMRU), Centre on Integrated Rural Development for Asia and the Pacific (CIRDAP), WG Communities (USA), BUET Central Library and currently working at University of Dhaka, Faculty of Fine Arts and Department Oriental Art as a Library Assistant.

He took part in various national and international training programme and workshops. Mr Prodip is an expert in IT, technical support, WordPress customization, Web Research, Video editing, Designing and Online Marketing.

Syeda Mukta Begum

Syeda Mukta Begum is an Interim Librarian in International School Dhaka (ISD). She completed her B. A (Hons.) & M.A from the Dept. of Information Science and Library Management from University of Dhaka. She is also an M.Phil. Researcher in the same Department at the same University.

Ms. Mukta started her early carrier as a Librarian in Democracywatch. Followed with this she worked as a Documentation Supervisor in Bangladesh National Women Lawyer’s Association and also as a Librarian in Ebenezer International School Dhaka. She worked as an Intern in CDL library as well.

Moreover, Ms. Mukta completed her six months certificate teaching course titled Continuing Professional Education Programme: Becoming a Reflective Teacher under the Aga Khan University, Institute for Educational Development, Karachi, Pakistan. She also attended professional development in Follett workshops-Asia by Follett Corporation in Bangkok, Thailand. Furthermore, in the journey at ISD, she completed a number of IB workshops in online and face-to-face in Bangladesh and Singapore including ‘Differentiation’, ‘PYP Concept-based Learning’: (Cat. 3), ‘Making This PYP Happen in the Classroom’ (Cat.1) and ‘The Role of Librarian in PYP, MYP and DP’ (Cat.3) organized by the IB Global Center in Singapore.  She had advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications and different Library Management Software as well as a number of e-resources. She also had experiences of visiting modern libraries in Singapore and Thailand. In addition,she is a lifetime member of Library Association of Bangladesh (LAB) and Bangladesh Association of Librarians, Information Scientists, and Documentalists (BALID).
