Mr. Tahur Ahmed, Assistant Librarian, East West University has successfully completed the “Research4Life Massive Open Online Course” (HINARI, AGORA, OARE, ARDI and GOALI) from 11 November 2019 to 15 December 2019 and got Certificate of Achievement. The program was funded by the Elsevier Foundation and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations (UN). The course was developed for librarians, information professionals, IT specialists, researchers, academics, lecturers, educators, students and professionals, such as doctors, policymakers, lawyers, social workers and statisticians.

Mr Tahur Ahmed, Assistant Librarian, East West University has successfully completed the “Scopus Certification Program for Librarians” organised by ELSEVIER from October 01, 2019, to November 15, 2019. Twenty Five Librarians from all over the world have successfully completed this program in this cohort. Two library professionals from Bangladesh have completed this course. The certification program consists of the following six online courses:

1) Topical Search
2) Author Identity
3) Research Metrics
4) APIs
5) Institutional Insights and
6) User Outreach.

Scopus is the largest abstract and citation database in the world. The main objective of this course is to gain insight into research sources, collaboration and metrics, and use that knowledge to expand training and consulting options with the library users to develop deep skills and new competencies in research discovery and evaluation.
