Library Consortium meeting held at Agargaon, Dhaka

The 18th Meeting of the Coordinating Committee of the Library Consortium of Bangladesh (LiCoB) [previously Bangladesh INASP-PERii Consortium (BIPC)] was held on 27 November 2018 in the Seminar Room of the Bangladesh Academy of Sciences, National Museum of Science & Technology Bhavan, Agargaon, Dhaka 1207.

Library and Information professionals from different organizations were invited to attend the meeting.
Many of the regular subscribed members did not pay for annual subscription fees. Under these circumstances the following points were discussed:
a. All continuing members should prepare for contributions in each tier to rise by as much as 25-30%
b. All members paying exceptionally in a lower tier than expected or paying less than stipulated should prepare to move to the appropriate tier and pay the full contribution
c. All members not confirming continuation in 2019 will be disconnected and will lose access after the complimentary one-month period, i.e. from 1 Feb 2019
d. All members who haven’t paid for 2018 and do not pledge to pay their dues in the near future will be disconnected and will lose access starting from as early as 1 December 2018
However, the continuation of the activities of the consortium, Selection of e-Resources and determination of subscription of members for the 2019 etc points also discussed.
