Project Implementation Unit of the National Agricultural Technology Program heads to Australia for Study visit programme on ICT in Library Management

A delegation of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council under the National Agricultural Technology Program now is in Australia for a study visit program focusing on ICT in Library Management.

Among the team members are Dr Susmita Das, Principal Documentation Officer, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC), Dhaka; Hasan Md Hamidur Rahman, Director, Computer and GIS Unit, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC), Dhaka; Md Saiful Islam, Principal Scientific Officer, ASICT Division, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute, Gazipur; Md Mohoshin Ahmed Chowdhury, Librarian, Ministry of Agriculture, Dhaka; Pollab Kumar Roy, Assistant Programmer, Ministry of Agriculture, Dhaka; Md Shohid Uddin Bhuyan, System Analyst, Computer and GIS Unit, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC), Dhaka and Saleha Khatoon, Senior Librarian, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC), Dhaka.

The visits scheduled for the team program will take in renowned institutions in Library and Information sector across the country, including the State Library Victoria, Commonwealth Science and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), Information Services, RMIT University Library , Department of Primary Industries, Information Services (DPI), State Library of NSW, Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) and the National Library of Australia.

The study program has commenced on Monday 1 July with a visiting of the State Library Victoria.  The team will be visiting the Commonwealth Science and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), Information Services and Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), University Library on Tuesday, 2 July 2019.

The program will continue Wednesday 3 July with a visiting of the Department of Primary Industries; 4 July, Information Services (DPI) and the State Library of NSW and 5 July, Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) and the National Library of Australia.
