Two Library professionals from Bangladesh attended 5th South Asia eBook Forum in Guwahati, India

Ms Hasina Afroz, University Librarian, Brac University and Ms Tanzeba Raihan Shoma, Deputy Librarian (programming), University of Dhaka attended 5th South Asia eBook Forum 2019 was held from 21st May to 23rd May 2019 in Guwahati, India.

This time three professionals were invited including Ms Satara Begum, Principal Librarian, Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR) by Elsevier(South Asia) to attend the forum. The theme of the forum was “Evidence & Impact: Transforming Research through Analytics and Insights”. The event helped the librarians to come together to share ideas with intelligence about where the world’s research is heading. Indeed, this forum was a great platform for all participants to engage in discussions on evidence-based decision making and sharing best practices such as collection development, eBooks purchasing strategies and patron engagements. In the last year, a similar event was held at the gateway hotel Colombo, Sri Lanka from 22-23 May 2018.
