Why the library services need to adopt the concept of service science? ULAB Library presents a webinar!

The presenter explained how the library plays a vital role in supporting the educational goal of the parent organization. Considering the present situation, the speaker talked about how the library and information services are forced to change the nature of services as well as its management strategy. He emphasised why the library services need to adopt the concept of service science i.e. value co-creation, service ecosystem, and actors’ involvement, resource integration, etc. in their day to day practice.
Professor Dr Sumon Rahman, Department of Media Studies and Journalism (MSJ), & Advisor, Library Affairs, ULAB delivered the welcome address. K.M. Hasan Emam, Joint Librarian, ULAB moderated the session.
A total of 28 participants from home and abroad (3 countries -Bangladesh, India, and Japan) of different private and public universities, libraries and research organizations (15 Institutions) attended the webinar.
