Students to get ‘education expense’ as the honorarium for working as librarian

Students are to be appointed to overcome the crisis of Librarian in 800 non-government active libraries. They will get honorarium to meet up their ‘educational expenses’ for one year for performing this duty along with their study. The Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Bangladesh has taken the decision, each library will receive a certain amount of money to provide a grant to that particular student who will be appointed as a librarian to serve their library for one year.

Ms Nawshaba Bulia has been awarded the Vice-Chancellor’s Award (Gold Medal) under National University on 10 February 2021 for her excellent academic result in Bachelor of Arts degree in the Department of Information Science and Library Management at Lalmatia Mohila College. 

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni distributed the Vice-Chancellor’s award and prize money to the students in a video conference through zoom conference.

East West University Library celebrated the National Library Day 2021 on 05 February. As the pandemic situation is going on all over the world, this year the celebration was held online via Google Meet platform. To celebrate this day, East West University Library organized “Online Speech Contest” on “ Mujib Borsherer Ongkikar, Ghore Ghore Gronthagar ”(The Promise of Mujib year, Library in every house). The Contest was about to tell of the importance of that topic. Every participant was given 4 minutes to deliver his/her thoughts. After a thorough judgment 4 participants were selected for 3 winning positions among a huge number of participants.

SPSS 25 for the beginners: Registration is now open

iSAPT Virtual Academy will organize a 10-days (15 hours) training on “Statistical Data Analysis with SPSS 25 for the Beginners” using the Zoom Cloud Platform from March 6, 2021. Mr Sadhan Verma (IT Instructor & Trainer, CEO, NBICT Lab, Dinajpur) will be joining the training sessions as the trainer. The first training was completed for the first batch successfully with 30 participants from the different countries around the world.
