National Book Centre, Ministry of Cultural Affairs, has organized a series a activities including In house Training, seminar on contribution of books to implement Sonar Bangla, Book fair at Sylhet Divisional Government Public Library and Cox Bazar Book fair, seminar on Books on Muktijuddho Affairs and library movement to protect drug addiction. It is very much appreciated that within a very short period National Book Centre organizes the above mentioned activities.

Workshop on ‘Following the Research Workflow using Elsevier’s Tool’ has been held at Brac University

Brac University Ayesha Abed Library, in collaboration with Elsevier organised an author workshop Titled “Following The Research Workflow using Elsevier Tools: Scopus ScienceDirect & Mendeley”, the program was held on 10th July 2019 at the GDLN Centre, Brac University. Mr. Vishal Gupta, Customer Consultant-South Asia, gave a presentation on Scopus, ScienceDirect & Mendeley. He gave an overview of Scopus tool– how to track, analyse and visualize research using Scopus tool. He also showed how to use the ScienceDirect platform effectively.

Workshop on ‘Following the Research Workflow using Elsevier’s Tool’ has been held at East West University

East West University Library organized a Workshop on ‘Following the Research Workflow using Elsevier’s Tool’ for faculty members, researchers and students of EWU community on 9th July 2019 from 2:30 PM to 4:40 PM at S. M. Nousher Ali Lecture Gallery (Room-126), East West University. Mr. Vishal Gupta, Customer Consultant- South Asia, Elsevier was the Lead Facilitator of this workshop.
This workshop covered the following topics:
  • Provided an introduction of ScienceDirect and Mendeley to get maximum benefit in doing research
  • Explained the functionalities and benefits of Scopus
  • Showed the diversified tips and tricks which can help for researchers in the research process as well as the publication cycle

Children’s book illustration exhibition begins at British Council Dhaka and Cox’s Bazar

Drawing Words, an exhibition of children’s book illustration, begins at British Council Dhaka and Cox’s Bazar to encourage the young readers to drawings. The exhibition is open daily at the British Council on Fuller Road in Dhaka from June 28 to July 11 and at Cox’s Bazar District Government Public Library from June 29 to 30. The exhibition remains open for all from 10 am to 7 pm daily at the two locations.
