A 3-day long (14-16 October 2018) ULAB Book Fair 2018 was inaugurated by the National Professor Dr Anisuzzaman, Emeritus Professor of University of Dhaka on 14 October 2018 at 12:00 PM at University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) at its Dhanmondi Campus. The theme of this book fair was “The unlimited world of digital books” and its slogan was saving more, read more. National Professor Rafiqul Islam delivered Opening Speech. A discussion session was conducted at ULAB auditorium. They discussed the importance of digital books/eBooks as well as print books. Nousher Ali Lecture Gallery (Room-126), East West University.  Dr Dilara Begum, Associate Professor and Chairperson, Department of Information Studies and Library Management and Librarian (In-charge) will present the topic and demonstrate the use of the mentioned software. Mr Mozammel Bhuyan, a student of the Department of Information Science and Library Management, University of Dhaka has been awarded the Lion Md. Jonab Ali and Farzana Jonab Gold Medal, 2016. He is honoured with the Gold Medal for obtaining highest CGPA (3.85 out of 4.00) in B.A. (Hons.) final examination in 2016. He completed his M.A. degree with highest CGPA (3.97 out of 4.00) in 2017. The Medal was handed over to Mr Mozammel during 51st Convocation of the University of Dhaka on October 6, 2018.
